), a town of Naphtali, assigned to the Gershonite Levites, and appointed to be one of the cities of refuge (Jos_21:32). In the parallel passage (1Ch_6:76) it is called by the equivalent name of KIRJATHAIM. The associated names suggest the probability of some locality near the north-western shore of the Sea of Tiberias, perhaps the ruined village marked as el-Katanah on Van de Velde's map, on wady Furam, about midway between Lake Tiberias and the Huleh.
