(Heb. Kattath',
÷ִèָּú
, small, for
÷ִèֶּðֶú
; Sept.
ÊáôôÜè
v. r.
ÊáôáíÜè
), one of the cities of Zebulon, mentioned first in a list of towns apparently along the southern border from Mount Tabor westerly (Jos_19:15); and (notwithstanding the slight difference in radicals) probably the same with the KARTAH SEE KARTAH (q.v.) of Jos_21:34; perhaps also with KITRON (Jdg_1:30). Schwarz (Palest. p. 172), by a tortuous derivation. through the Talmud, seeks to identify it with Cana of Galilee.
