[many Kib'zaim] (Hebrew Kibtsa'yin, ÷ַáְöִéַí , two heaps; Sept. Êáâóáßì ), a Levitical city of the tribe of Ephraim, assigned to the Kohathites, and appointed a city of refuge (Jos_21:22, where it is mentioned in connection with Gezer and Beth-horon, as if lying on the edge of the mountains of Ephraim); otherwise called JOKMEAM (1Ch_6:68), which, however, is elsewhere (Jos_21:34) assigned to the Merarites in Zebulon, probably by a slight diversity arising from its contiguity to the Kishon, which formed the boundary-line between those tribes (Jos_19:11).
