(Heb. Machli', îִçְìַé , sick; Sept. Ìïïëß , Vulg. Moholi; but in Exo_6:19, Ìïïëåß , Auth. Vers. “Mahali;” SEE MAHLITE ), the name of two Levites.
1. A son of Merari, and grandson of Levi (Exo_6:19; Num_3:20; 1Ch_6:19; 1Ch_23:21; 1Ch_24:26; 1Ch_24:28; Ezr_8:18). Among his sons was one named Libni (1Ch_6:29). His descendants were named after him (Num_3:33; Num_26:58). B.C. post 1856.
2. A son of Mushi, and nephew of the preceding (1Ch_23:23; 1Ch_24:30). He had a son named Shamer (1Ch_6:47). B.C. ante 1658.
