a French prelate, brother of the preceding, was born in 1593, and was early provided with several considerable benefices, and in 1629 succeeded his brother as archbishop of Bordeaux. He was associated with Richelieu in State affairs, but ultimately, became involved in troubles which ended only with Richelieu's death (Dec. 4, 1642), when De Sourdis returned to his see.
