a German philologist, was born December 30, 1653, at Konigsberg. He prosecuted his studies at his native place and Leipsic, and was appointed, in 1679, professor of Oriental languages in his native city, where he died, May 21, 1715. He wrote, Dissert. de Verbo Dei Occasione Phraseos Chaldaicae
