1. A priest, son of Uzzi and father of Meraioth, in the ancestry of the later Jewish pontiffs (1Ch_6:6; 1Ch_6:51 [Heb. 5:32; 6:30]), and of Ezra (Ezr_7:4). B.C. cir. 1350. SEE HIGH-PRIEST.
