), the general name imposed by Jair, the son of Manasseh, upon the region of Argob (q.v.), conquered by him in Bashan (Deu_3:14), containing sixty cities, with walls and brazen gates (Jos_13:30; 1Ki_4:13). It is elsewhere (Num_22:41) called simply HAVOTH-JAIR SEE HAVOTH-JAIR (q.v.).
