a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Pendleton County, Va., Oct. 5, 1816. He experienced religion in 1836, entered the Baltimore Conference in 1840, and died amid his labors, at Cumberland, Md., Dec. 12, 1851. Mr. Bland was original and earnest, laborious and spiritual.
