(Heb. Adiel’, òֲãַéàֵì , ornament of God), the name of three men.
1. (Sept. ᾿Ùäéήë v. r. Ï᾿äéήë .) The father of Azmaveth, which latter was treasurer under David and Solomon (1Ch_27:25). B.C. ante 1014.
2. (Sept. Å᾿äéήë v. r. É᾿åäéήë .) One of the family heads of the tribe of Simeon, who seem to have dispossessed the aborigines of Gedor (1Ch_4:36), B.C. cir. 711.
3. (Sept. Á᾿äéήë .) A priest, son of Jahzerah and father of Maasiai, which last was one of those most active in reconstructing the Temple after the captivity (1Ch_9:12). B.C. ante 536.
