This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
17. καλῶς. Worthily, in a proper spirit. Or it may mean ‘thou doest well to give thanks.’ Some would translate εὐχαριστεῖς, ‘celebratest the Eucharist.’ But see last note and ch. 1Co 11:24.
ὁ ἕτερος. The ἰδιώτης. See note on 1Co 14:16.
