This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
7. Ἰακώβῳ. It would seem from this (see Stanley and Alford) that St James was an Apostle. But it does not necessarily follow that he was one of the Twelve. See Professor Plumptre’s elaborate note on the brethren of our Lord in the Commentary on St James in this series. Also note on 1Co 9:5.
