4. τοῦ κἀμὲ πορεύεσθαι. See Mr Carr’s note on Mat 2:13. Not only would St Paul avoid all possibility of accusation, but it was fitting that those who had collected the money should have the satisfaction of presenting it. Such minute touches as these display to us the tact and polish of the true Christian gentleman, a character unknown to the world until the Word made Flesh came among us. See 2Co 8:19-20.
