This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

9. θεοῦ γάρ ἐσμεν συνεργοί. For we are God’s fellow-labourers. The A.V. rather obscures the Apostle’s meaning here. His point is (see last verse and 1Co 3:23) that we all, though our individuality is not lost, are one in Christ. All are God’s, whether the labourers, the. field (γεώργιον) or the building. While συνεργοί looks to the latter part of 1Co 3:8, and asserts the individuality of the worker, θεοῦ keeps in mind the point of the first part of that verse, and proclaims the union of all in God. The σύν in συνεργοί refers to God.
