The disputed words (ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ὁ πατὴρ ὁ λόγος καὶ τὸ ἅγιον πνεῦμα· καὶ οὖτοι οἱ τρεῖς ἕν εἰσι. καὶ τρεῖς εἰσιν οἱ μαρτυροῦντες ἐν τῇ γῇ) are absent from every Greek MS. earlier than the fourteenth century, from every Greek Father in discussing the doctrine of the Trinity, and from every ancient Version. The insertion is of Latin origin and even in Latin is not older than the fifth century. Another Western interpolation.
