This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
22. ὃς ἁμαρτίαν οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὐδὲ εὑρέθη δόλος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ. In the LXX. of Isa 53:9, the words are ὅτι ἀνομίαν οὐκ ἐποίησεν οὐδὲ δόλον ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ. The description in Isaiah 53 of the ideal servant of Jehovah, suffering as the representative of the people, is quoted by St Peter in these verses (22–24) as being fulfilled in Christ.
