4. οἱ μὲν ἧσαν σὺν τοῖς Ἰουδαίοις, part held with the Jews. For a similar division see the history of the preaching at Thessalonica, Act 17:4-5. That His word should cause such division had been foretold by Jesus (Luk 12:51).
