This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

9. συνεπέθεντο δὲ καὶ οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι, and the Jews also joined in the charge, i.e. by language of their own reiterated the accusation. For the verb used of an attack made in common, cf. LXX. Psa 3:6, οἱ κύκλῳ συνεπιτιθέμενοι.

φάσκοντες ταῦτα οὕτως ἔχειν, affirming that these things were so. Tertullus had of course been instructed in his case by Ananias and the elders. Having supplied him with his arguments they now express their accord with what he has said.
