This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

11. καὶ μὴ συνκοινωνεῖτε κ.τ.λ. Cf. Eph 5:7; Rev 18:4; 1Ti 5:22; 2Jn 1:11; Psa 50:18. ‘Have a share with them in—become jointly responsible for’ by approving (Rom 1:32) or acquiescing in without protest.

ἔργοις, as in Gal 5:19; Rom 13:12. The word is constantly used in a disparaging sense in St Paul.

μᾶλλον δὲ καὶ ἐλέγχετε. ‘Awaken their consciences,’ ‘convict’ them, ‘show them to themselves in their true colours.’ This may be by public exposure or open reproof, but the word refers rather to the result than to the means, cf. Joh 16:8; Wis 1:3; Wis 1:5; Wis 12:2, esp. Eph 2:11 τὸ γὰρ ἀσθενὲς ἄχρηστον ἐλέγχεται, 1Co 14:24. For object supply αὐτοὺς, the sinners, not the sin.
