This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
10. πρὸς ὀλίγας ἡμέρας. Comp. πρὸς καιρόν Luk 8:13.

κατὰ τὸ δοκοῦν αὐτοῖς. “As seemed good to them.” He is contrasting the brief authority of parents, and their liability to error, and even to caprice, with the pure love and eternal justice of God.
