This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
26. γῆν ἐσάλευσεν. Exo 19:18; Jdg 5:4; Psa 114:7.
ἐπήγγελται. “He has promised.” The verb has the sense of the middle voice as in Rom 4:21.
Ἔτι ἅπαξ. “Again, once for all.” The quotation is from Hag 2:6-7, “yet once, it is a little while” (comp. Hos 1:4).
καὶ τὸν οὐρανόν. “For the powers of the heavens shall be shaken” (Luk 21:26).
