This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
14. τὴν μέλλουσαν. “The city which is to be” (Heb 11:10; Heb 11:16). Our earthly city here may be destroyed, and we may be driven from it, or leave it of our own accord; this is nothing,—for our real citizenship is in heaven (Php 3:20).
