6. Τούτων δὲ οὕτως κατεσκευασμένων. “Since then these things have been thus arranged.”

εἰς μὲν τὴν πρώτην … ἐπιτελοῦντες. “Into the outer tabernacle the priests enter continually in performance of their ministrations.” Their ordinary ministrations were to offer sacrifice, burn incense, and light the lamps, and in the performance of these they certainly entered the Holy Place twice daily, and apparently might do so as often as they saw fit. No inference can be securely drawn as to the continued existence of the Temple service from the present εἰσίασιν, because the present is used by the writer of things ideally existent on the page of Scripture (Heb 7:3; Heb 7:5, Heb 9:22, &c.).
