This Chapter Verse Commentaries:

27. τότε εἰσηλθεν κ.τ.λ. At that moment Satan entered into him. At first Satan made suggestions to him (Joh 13:2; Luk 22:3) and Judas listened to them; now Satan takes full possession of him. Desire had conceived and brought forth sin, and the sin full grown had engendered death (Jam 1:15). Jesus knew that Satan had claimed his own, and therefore saith to him, That thou doest, do more quickly; carry it out at once, even sooner than was planned (1Ti 3:14), Winer, p. 304. Now that the case of Judas was hopeless, delay merely kept Jesus from His hour of victory (Mat 23:32; Luk 12:50). He longs to be alone with the faithful Eleven. For τάχιον see on Joh 20:4.
