This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
12. ἐκεῖνος. That strange Rabbi who perplexes us so much: comp. Joh 9:28, Joh 7:12, Joh 19:21.

οὐκ οἶδα rather implies that He did not return to Jesus (Joh 9:7).
