This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
5. τὸν ζῶντα. Comp. Act 1:11. The expression ‘the living’ is probably used on the lips of the angels with something of its true mystic depth. Joh 1:4; Joh 5:26; Joh 11:25; Joh 20:31.
