This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
48. ὁ γὰρ μικρότερος ἐν πᾶσιν ὑμῖν ὑπάρχων. ‘He whose position is least among you all.’ Comp. Mat 23:11-12. He perhaps added the memorable words about offending His little ones. Mat 18:6-10; Luk 17:2.
οὗτός ἐστιν μέγας. ‘He (emphatic) is great’ (אABCLX), not ‘shall be’ but is.
