This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
9. ὅ οὖν ὁ θεὸς συνέζευξεν. God did not do this by uttering the words quoted in Mar 10:7; they are Adam’s words, although Mt. assigns them to God. But God has made possible and has sanctioned a relationship between man and woman which is more binding than even that which exists between parent and child. 1Co 7:10 may refer to this saying.
