This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
24. οὐκ ἔστιν μαθητὴς ὑπὲρ τὸν διδάσκαλον. The disciples of Jesus can expect no other treatment than that which befell their Master Christ. The same proverb occurs in a different connection Luk 6:40, where Christ is speaking of the responsibility of the Apostles as teachers; ‘as they are, their disciples shall be.’
