42. τὸν θέλοντα ἀπὸ σοῦ δανείσασθαι. St Luke has, δανείζετε μηδὲν ἀπελπίζοντες (Luk 6:35). Forced loans have been a mode of oppression in every age, from which, perhaps, no people have suffered more than the Jews.
