This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
11. ἐξηπάτησεν κ.τ.λ. Here we get nearest to personification of ἡ ἁμ., with the echo of Gen 2:13; cf. 2Co 11:3; 1Ti 2:14. The deceit lies in the representation of the satisfaction of the forbidden impulse as more desirable than obedience to the command.
