This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
25. δι' ὑπομονῆς = in a condition of endurance, ὑ. is steady resistance to adverse influences; and this is the peculiar Christian temper under present conditions; cf. Heb 12:1; 1Th 1:3; 2Th 3:5; Rev 14:12; for διὰ cf. Rom 2:27, Rom 14:20.
