33. κατὰ ἐκλεκτῶν θ. Against men whom GOD has chosen: the bare words give tremendous emphasis.

θεὸς ὁ δικαιῶν. In the face of GOD’S acquittal, the condemnation of the world is as nothing; cf. 1Co 4:9 f.; 2Co 2:16; cf. Isa 50:8-9.
