27. The next two quotations justify the claim that Israel’s call survives in a remnant.

Isa 10:22. The context speaks of a remnant saved by trust in GOD. LXX[194] is followed but slightly altered; the first phrase is from Hos 1:10, a clear proof that the quotations were from memory (or from a catena?).
