NASB (UPDATED) TEXT: Act_7:9-10
9The patriarchs became jealous of Joseph and sold him into Egypt. Yet God was with him, 10and rescued him from all his afflictions, and granted him favor and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and he made him governor over Egypt and all his household.
Act_7:9 "Joseph" This account is found in Gen_37:11; Gen_37:28; Gen_45:4. Stephen is trying to show that the Jewish people and their leaders have often rejected God's chosen leader (cf. Moses in Act_7:35).
Act_7:10 This account is found in Gen_39:21; Gen_41:40-46.
