(1) “To take up,†“to bear,†“to transport from one place to another,†as, “to carry away handkerchiefs†(), “to carry a corpse†(), and “to be carried away by the wind†().
(2) “To cause to go†or “come,†“to lead,†“to drive†as, “to be carried away to Babylon†(), “to be carried†away to Pilate†(), “to carry away cattle†(), and “to carry daughters†().
(3) “To uphold,†or “sustain,†“and even to hoar hairs will I carry you†().
(4) “To bear,†or “endure,†as, “to carry sorrows†().
