In we read of one “Jonathan the son of Shagee the Hararite.†The parallel in , reads “Jonathan, Shammah the Hararite.†If we read “Jonathan (son of) Shammah,†then Agee is the grandfather of Jonathan. Some, however, think to be correct, and read “Shagee†for “Agee†in , and for “Shammah†in . This makes Jonathan and Shammah brothers.
