The situation must be near the entrance of the Jordan into the Dead Sea (see EN-GEDI). Tristram (Bible Places, 93) identifies it with ‛Ain Hajlah (compare BETH-HOGLAH); Robinson (BRP, II, 489), with ‛Ain Feshkah.
