fol´oÌ„ (×חר, 'ahÌ£ar, רדף, raÌ„dhaph; ἀκολουθεÌω, akoloutheÌoÌ„, διωÌκω, diō̇koÌ„) : Frequently the translation of 'ahÌ£ar, “after,†e.g. , “hath followed me fully,†literally, “fulfilled after me†(, ; ; ); raÌ„dhaph is “to pursue,†and is often so translated; it is translated “follow†(; , etc.); “follow after†(; ); reghel, “foot,†is several times translated “follow†(literally, “at the foot ofâ€; ; , etc.); haÌ„lakh 'ahÌ£ar, “to go after†(; , etc.); yaÌ„lakh 'ahÌ£ar, “to go on after†(; , etc.); daÌ„bheÌ„kÌ£, “to cause to cleave to†is “follow hard after†(; , etc.).

English Revised Version, “Follow after faithfulness†makes an important change in , where the King James Version has “and verily thou shalt be fedâ€; but the American Standard Revised Version has “feed on his faithfulness,†margin “feed securely or verily thou shalt be fed.†For “attained†() the Revised Version (British and American) gives “followed until now.â€
