gar´d'n-ẽr (κῆπουÏος, keÌ„Ìpouros): “Gardener†occurs once in the English Versions of the Bible (), the translation of keÌ„Ìpos and ouÌros, “warden†or “keeper.†It is likely that the man referred to was the watchman or keeper (Arabic natÌ£uÌ‚r; Hebrew noÌ„ceÌ„r), corresponding to those mentioned in ; ; , etc., and not one who did the manual labor.
