hā´did (חדיד, hÌ£aÌ„dhı̄dh): A city in Benjamin ( f) named with Lod and Ono (; ), probably identical with Adida (Septuagint ἉδιδαÌ, HadidaÌ) of 1 Macc 12:38; 13:13, “over against the plain,†which was fortified by Simon Maccabeus. It is represented by the modern el-HÌ£adı̄theh, about 3 miles Northeast of Lydda.
