hō´ba (חובה, ḥōbhāh): A place “on the left hand,†i.e. to the North of “Damascus,†to which Abraham pursued the defeated army of Chedorlaomer (). It is probably identical with the modern Ḥoba, about 60 miles Northwest of Damascus.
