jā´ra (יערה, ya‛raÌ„h, “honey-comb†(?)): A descendant of King Saul (); but the Septuagint's Codices Vaticanus and Alexandrinus, have ἸαδαÌ, IadaÌ = יעדּה, ya‛daÌ„h, a name found in Septuagint of , where Massoretic Text has יהועדּה, yehō‛addaÌ„h, Jehoaddah. Some Hebrew manuscripts have ya‛daÌ„h in , and it should probably be accepted as the correct reading there, for ya‛daÌ„h = Jehoaddah yehō‛addaÌ„h, linguistically; compare Jonathan and Jehonathan, etc.
