mı̄´ka (מיכ×, mı̄khaÌ„'): A variant of the name Micah, and probably like it a contracted form of MICAIAH (which see). In the King James Version it is sometimes spelled “Micha.â€
(1) A son of Merib-baal or Mephibosheth (, the King James Version “Michaâ€). In , he is called “Micah.â€
(2) The son of Zichri (). In (the King James Version “Michaâ€), he is designated “the son of Zabdi,†and in , his name appears as “Micaiah (the King James Version “Michaiahâ€), the son of Zaccur.â€
(3) One of the signatories of the Covenant (, the King James Version “Michaâ€).
