suk-seÌ„d´, suk-ses´ (ירש×, yaÌ„rash, שׂכל, saÌ„khal; εὐημεÏιÌα, eueÌ„merıÌa): “To succeed†means, (1) and originally, “to follow afterâ€; (2) mostly in modern English, “to prosperâ€; in the King James Version, with one exception, the word has a qualifying adjective.
