This Chapter Verse Commentaries:
fool. Hebrew. kesil = fat, inert. Same word as in verses: Ecc_2:15, Ecc_2:16; not the same word as in Ecc_2:19.
and I myself perceived = and I too knew: i.e. as well as they.
event = a happening. Hebrew. mikreh. Said to be a later word, but it occurs in 1Sa_6:9; 1Sa_20:26. Rth_2:3. See note on Ecc_2:8.
